News & EventsIcecom promotes its VoIP solutions in North American marketsIcecom Ltd. has signed a co-operation agreement with Nordic Gateway Inc. and Exportum Ltd. The aim of the agreement is to promote Icecom’s VoIP solutions in US and Canadian markets. This agreement is part of a larger project for which the local financer North American Invest Corporation (NAIC) has allocated 2 million dollars for 2005-2009. The aim of the project is to develop new sales opportunities for selected Finnish companies in North America. Nordic Gateway Inc. is responsible for organizing the sales in North America, and the co-ordination and financial administration of the project is arranged by Exportum Ltd. "We look forward to finding out new business opportunities in North America which represents en extremely potential market place for Icecom's VoIP solutions and core know-how. This export project is ideal way for our company to benefit from local expertise and connections", Markku Hentilä, the CEO of Icecom explains. "Icecom is one of the twelve Finnish ICT-companies which will be selected to this project. We had preliminary discussions with about 70 Finnish companies, and after evaluation 12 ICT companies will be accepted to the project", says Jukka Mansikka, the Director of Exportum Ltd. "Icecom is part of the group of 4 companies which will have a shared export manager to organize sales in the US and Canada. The export managers of each group are professionals and they are selected particularly to match the needs of participating companies. Icecom was invited to project because there is a growing demand for its VoIP products and technology expertise in North American markets", Scot MacRae, the President of Nordic Gateway explains.
